Vanity Fair On Time - Front cover design and sculptures

I am so proud and happy to have done the set design and styling for this months Vanity Fair On Time issue, with the theme of 'Design'. The front cover is a small sculpture I designed based on Bauhaus with a quote from Terence Conran "Perhaps believing in good design is like believing in God - It makes you an optimist".
The intro to the watch report features one of the sculptures I made with Ania Wawrzkowicz last year for the 'Revisiting Group X' exhibition that we put on at Printhouse Gallery in Dalston. Such a priviledge to have this in Vanity Fair and featured in a few pages as the background for some of the watches. The themes for the pages were Brutalism, Vorticism with Cubist influence, Surrealism, Biomorphism, and Pop Art. Photos by the lovely James Day. Great job.

Art Direction for Roland Mouret short film- Directed by Lee Ford

I recently art directed a short film commissioned by Instyle magazine for fashion designer Roland Mouret, directed by Lee Ford. Intriguingly avant guard with a sinister flavour. It seems to have had a lot of press being featured on websites like Creative Review, Shots, Creativity, 1.4 and had a screening at London Fashion week.... all good stuff. DOP Steve Annis does his magic and gets the mood right.

Here's the film on Lee's website, have a look ....

Vanity Fair 'On Time' with James Day

Back again with the adorable James Day and his funny antics, we did this very inspiring and fun shoot for Vanity Fair 'On time' with the theme of 'Design'. Pushing the creative boundries for an editorial client I indeed had a good time with this one. I researched into five era's of art history over the last century and was inspired by the work produced at that time. Really can't wait until it's out, this is one to show the grankids x

Hemispheres magazine with Ania Wawrzkowicz

Delicious magazine with Ania Wawrzkowicz

After our year of working together for the exhibition 'Revisiting Group X' Ania and I did a couple of editorials together. This one definitely had nordic feel. Always a pleasure to spend time with Ania who is hugely talented and a good friend.

Harrods Magazine with Jouke Bos

Jouke Bos .. what a great name, and he's is such a nice guy! Dutch photographer Jouke came over from Amsterdam to shoot this De Stijl influenced shoot. Full of art history knowledge and great taste he shot some really stunning pictures for the March issue. Can't wait to see them. Thanks Jouke x
